The journey can be tough. You may want to throw in the towel, but don’t you dare. Use the towel to dry off the sweat you worked up. But the game isn’t over. Keep going. You may wonder how, if you’re already running on empty. Here are 7 tips to inspire you to find the fuel to stay in the game and win.

1. And This Shall Pass too

Change is the only condition that is a mainstay. If you’re going through a tough time, just know it absolutely goes against the laws of the universe for a situation to last forever. The promise of renewal is guaranteed.

“Life is never stagnation. It is constant movement, unrhythmic movement, as we as constant change. Things live by moving and gain strength as they go.”

Bruce Lee

When you are feeling stuck or stagnate, keep in mind circumstances are fluid. The more you resist change, you resist imagining new ideas, dreams, and possibilities. A mundane existence may squelch one’s ability to look for inspiration. If you have difficulties finding it, don’t worry. Life will make many attempts to bring it to you.

2. Animals Can Be Sources of Inspiration

Animals thrive without the things humans deem essential to their existence (cell phones, coffee, Netflix, etc). They are in tune with their roles. In their natural habitats, they know how to build shelter, find food and tend to their young. Although some species must meet their demise for others to exist; their instincts for renewal and continuum are prominent.

3. Be Open

If you are closed off to the world, how can you receive what it offers? For some, painful or traumatizing experiences can cause blocked emotions. Letting go of things which weigh you down free you to feel good. This is necessary to let in the experiences, people, and things which are good for you. Inspiration is all around, but you have to make room for it in your life. The sky’s the limit; but only when you travel light.

4. Use Your Abilities to Inspire Others

Often we look to the external world to find inspiration. But if you gather motivation from your internal world, you become the source. Let your contributions become the fuel for another’s inspiration. You can encourage people to expand their awareness through your actions. Inspiration is a gift that keeps giving.

5. Appreciate Where You Are in Life

Many individuals feel uninspired because they’re unhappy with their current positions. When you don’t appreciate your journey, you can miss seeing the bigger picture. Acknowledge where you are, but don’t settle if it’s not where you want to be. You’re still on your journey. You might be unable to change where you are right away, but you can change your perception at every moment.

“Winter, summer, happiness and pain; giving, appearing, disappearing; non-permanent, all of them; just try to tolerate.”

Bhagavad-Gita

6. Be Child-Like

A child’s world is full of curiosities and wonders. Children possess an abundance of creative potential. Looking at the world through fresh eyes can enable a person to see endless possibilities. Exercising our imaginations often can help us broaden our visions.

Most children are excited to share their dreams and ideas with others. Are you a dreamer? Do you believe anything is possible? The concept of impossible is unknown to a child. Reacquaint yourself with your inner child. Cherish your dreams and wishes. Children believe dreams are real because they see them vividly and with unwavering focus. Many of our dreams could be reality if we saw the world through the eyes of a child.

7. Find the Thing or Person who Speaks to Your Mind and Heart

There are some who are an inspiration to many. Parents, grandparents, teachers, and caretakers are a few examples. The impact these individuals had on some of our lives left lasting impressions. That’s why it’s important to seek those who encourage your advancement.

Famous individuals like Nelson Mandela, César Chávez, and Mahatma Gandhi spoke to the hearts of generations. They found their inspiration in the people. These figures felt compelled to change circumstances which hindered others’ advancement.

If they’d thrown in their towels, millions might not have realized their own potentials. Another’s belief in you can be extremely empowering. It can give you the fuel you need to cross the finish line or to be a game changer.
